Accessibility

Summary for website visitors · Updated October 2026

NISPiD is digital-first to reduce unnecessary paper use, but digital-first must never become digital-only where that would exclude people.

How this website is built

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to content” link.
  • Text and controls are designed for readable contrast.
  • Every form field has a label, and errors and confirmations are announced to screen readers.
  • Layouts adapt to phones, tablets and desktops, and respect reduced-motion settings.
  • Images carry meaningful alternative text.

Alternative routes

If disability, accessibility, safeguarding or exceptional circumstances make online completion impractical, use the contact form and choose “Accessibility or alternative format”, or ask someone to contact us on your behalf. We will arrange another way to apply or communicate.
